Two Resources for Online Adoration

The other day when I wrote the “Ten Ways to Get The Most Out of Lent” post, I got an excellent question from Colleen over at Carpe Diem, Gorgeous! in the comments. She lives in Norway which doesn’t have many Catholic Churches and her nearest church is an hour away. She wanted to know if she could do adoration at home without being present before the Blessed Sacrament.

I know that even for many of us who do live near a Catholic Church, it isn’t always feasible to get there for adoration. Work schedules, one vehicle families, sickness or being elderly and home bound can make it impossible to get to a Church.  What to do? Go online! Thanks to the modern marvel of webcams, you can visit an adoration chapel via the web anytime.

A quick web search will bring up several links, but my two favorite are:

St. Mary’s Church Navan

I like these because they give an up close and personal view of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. Now, it goes without saying that being in church and physically present before Jesus is the “better way” and ideal, but adoring the Lord via the web-cam is certainly better than not adoring Him at all!

(P.S. If you have your own favorite online adoration site, do let us know about it.)
