Weekly Goals

Set Goals

Here are my goals from last week:

1. Daily meditation, bible reading and rosary. Get to mass at least 2x this week.

2. Continue memorizing 1 Peter 1:6-7 (“In this you rejoice, although now for a little while you may have to suffer through various trials, so that the genuineness of your faith, more precious than gold that is perishable even though tested by fire, may prove to be for praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.”)

Family/Mothering Goals

3. Read two of The Boxcar Children Books (The Pet Shop Mystery and The Hurricane Mystery) and books as well as two chapters a day from the Bible to Andrew.

4. Work with Andrew on his Karate. He is going for his yellow belt next week! [He tested on Saturday. Next week we will find out if he advanced or not! Wish him luck!]

Personal Development

5. Exercise on treadmill for 30 minutes, stretch for 10 minutes. [Did this only twice this week.]

6. Drink 6 glasses of water each day. [Don’t ask…]

7. Keep up with the college chemistry course. Take quiz two and exam one. Read ahead for the Unit Two. [Passed quiz two. Waiting results of exam.]

Blogging goals

8. Continue reading Sons of Cain by Val Bianco. I’m hoping to get this finished and the review up the end of this week or early next week. [Fantastic book! You can read my review here.]

So, as I’ve said several times already, the chemistry is turning out to be much more difficult and time consuming than I expected. I’ve decided that for the next 8 weeks I will be scaling down my goals to the barest essentials. Anything else that gets down will be a bonus. These goals are:

1. Make time for prayer and bible reading.

2. School, reading and quality time with Andrew.

3. Keep up with the chemistry work.

4. Blog 2-3 times a week.

5. Keep up with house work and laundry.

It might not seem like much, but that’s all I can handle for now!

What are your goals for this week? Feel free to share them here or head over to Money Saving Mom for more goal setting ideas.

  1. Hello fellow Catholic mom! {I followed you over from Money Saving Mom.} It’s always a nice treat to “meet” a another Catholic mom blogger.

  2. Carol, this is the right choice for you right now. We can’t be slaves to blogging, especially when priorities tell us we need to concentrate hard (like the chemistry) on something else. God bless you and keep up the good work.

You are absolutely right, Barb. I enjoy blogging very much, but realistically it has be go a little lower on my list of priorities.

      Thank you for your encouragement.
