Choosing Joy When it Seems Impossible

I don’t do book reviews on this blog anymore but I must tell you about the book Choose Joy. It is co-written by Sara Frankl and Mary Carver and if you read just one book this year, read this one.

Choose Joy

For over 20 years Sara Frankl suffered from a rare autoimmune disease, causing her chronic pain and slowly depiliating her body until she passed away in 2011. If there was one person who had a right to complain, be angry and/or become bitter it would be Sara.

Instead, she choose to live in love, and not to let her sufferings define who she is. She choose joy. She choose the impossible. She choose to live her life as is and that is a lesson that we can all learn (or remember).

This book inspired me, challenged me, and touched me deeply. I have no doubt it will do the same for you. GO READ THIS BOOK. 🙂

I started reading Sara’s blog in 2012 and have read the book “Choose Joy”. Her love of God and family truly was important to her, and she was held up in prayer by those family members and her many friends (known personally or through her blog). A remarkable human being with God’s super grace!! Miss you Sara…
