Guest Bloggers Welcomed (and NEEDED!)

Calling all guest bloggers!

If you’ve read my blog at all the last few months then you know that I’ve gone back to college to finish my bachelor’s degree. In the fall I will be starting classes full-time, along with homeschooling my son and dealing with “normal life.” I know there won’t be much, if any, time left over but I don’t want to completely neglect my blog here at Simple Catholic Living.

So, this is where you come in. πŸ™‚ I’m looking to book at least one guest blogger a week from September 6 through the week of December 20. The guest posts will be live each Thursday; however, if I get more guest bloggers than I need than the posts will be live Tuesdays and Thursdays.

What’s in it for you?

1. Exposure to a similar, but different audience.

I don’t have a huge audience, about 3,400 per month as per Google Analytics (See below for my most recent metrics) but it is growing every month. And even so, I think the readers I do have are awesome. πŸ™‚

2. A short bio of yourself and a link back to your website at the end of each guest post.

3. Link to your post promoted on Facebook and Twitter. Also, if you supply a catchy image or button I’ll add a link to your post to my Guest Blogger Board.

4. The joy of knowing you are helping out a fellow Catholic blogger. πŸ˜‰

How it’s going to work

Here’s the link to my guest post policy. As you can see, I normally accept only original posts that haven’t been published before; however, if you have an older blog post that you can sufficiently re-work, then it would be acceptable. Please do take the time to change it sufficiently so neither you nor I will be penalized by Google for duplicate content (the reason behind my only accepting non-previously published articles).

If you are interested, willing or able to write a guest post, use my contact form or email (carol at simplecatholicliving dot com) to be in touch with me.

You can either chose a date that you want your article published or I can pick a date for you (see below) and let me know what topic you want to write about and/or a working title for your article. Once the article is written, send it to me and I’ll review it and get it added to the queue to be published. (Don’t forget to send in an image and a photo of yourself, if you have one, for the bio!

Topic ideas

I’m open to any topic related to Catholic women. My specific target audience are married, Catholic moms. Any topic about prayer, church teaching, homemaking, how-tos, recipes, or homeschooling would work. So would articles about parenting, time management, self-care, or reviews. There are several holidays and feast days coming up that would make great blogging topics. Even blogging or writing are good topics if geared toward Catholic bloggers. You can check out my past guest bloggers for inspiration or I’d be happy to brainstorm with you.

Guest post schedule

These are the dates that I’d love to have covered. Let me know what date you would like and I’ll add your name (with a link back to your website) to the list.

By the way, if you would like to be a guest blogger but don’t own a blog, it’s no problem. I can link back to Facebook, Twitter or whatever social media site you would like.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. I’m hoping to have as many articles pre-posted by September 1st, so if you con contact me as soon as you can, that would be great. πŸ˜‰ Thanks in advance!
