A Peek Into Our Past Week

It has been crazy and fun, with a bit of frustration thrown in. 🙂 I planned to do a post last week prior to heading out to Virginia for fourth of July but we had no internet access. It turns out that the cable guy had to come back to replace the router. here’s hoping that we have no more problems with it.

Anyway, we had a wonderful time in Virgina! Jen and Jim were wonderful hosts. here are a couple of highlights:

I drove to Virginia with my friend Terry and her two kids. It was a five-hour ride but it flew by as we chatted and listened to music.

Fourth of July Jen and Jim hosted a cook-out and we got to meet and/or “re-meet’ several of their friends from work. Andrew had fun playing with Colin and Amanda along with some of the other children.

Not a great close up, but it gives you an idea of the group.

On Saturday we went to the local orchard which was having a post-July 4th family celebration. We had fun picking peaches, listening to music, and eating good food. And let me tell you, those peaches were the best peaches I’ve ever had!

We also went “Cosmic” bowling. basically it’s bowling in semi-darkness. It was fun in spite of the fact that I did absolutely HORRIBLE! LOL!

We also spent lots of time at the pool, we talked, the kids played and we had an all-around great time. And this week is going to be just as fun. My friend, Theresa, is driving up from Delaware and will be staying with us until Friday. I can’t wait to see her! I’m still hoping to blog at least a couple of times this week. 🙂
