Well, course work took over again this week, so didn’t get everything off my list. I am going to modify the list so I don’t put too much pressure on myself and I focus on the essentials. In any case, here’s how I did this past week.

1. Pray the rosary each day. (Only got it in twice.)

2. Get up by 6:30 am each morning. (I’ve been staying up too late doing my course work so I haven’t been getting up until 8am most days this week.)

3. Keep up with the readings and assignments for my classes.

4. Blog at least three times this week. (The only post I did this week was my goals last Monday…

5. Find a permanent babysitter for Andrew. (Still looking. Please pray I find one!)

6. Take Andrew to doctor’s appointment for well visit. (I’m happy to report that he is fit as a fiddle. 🙂 )

7. Read and review the Catholic Update guide to Mary (affiliate link). It’s a small booklet so I’m hoping I can fit it in between reading for class. (Didn’t even look at it again. 🙁 )

Here are my modified plans for this week:

1. Pray the rosary twice this week.

2. Get up by 6:30 am each morning.

3. Keep up with the readings and assignments for my classes.

4. Keep Andrew on track with his home-school assignments.

I only have two posts for this week’s Sunday Snippets:

Question of the Week:

This week question is “What is your favorite formal (memorized) prayer?”

I have two. The Anima Christie which I say after receiving communion and the Te Deum which I try to pray every Sunday except during Lent.

Weekly Goals

Set Goals

Slowly getting in to a new routine but at least I’m getting there. Here’s how I did last week:

1. Pray the rosary each day.

2. Get up by 6:30 each morning.

3. Get started with the reading assignments and work for classes. (One of my classes is Christian Tradition so I will be doing bible reading for the class; therefore, I’m taking the bible reading off my list.)

4. Find a sitter for Andrew. (My babysitter for while I’m at school on Tuesdays had to back out last minute.) (Still working on this for a permanent sitter but at least my mother-in-law can take him this Tuesday and my mom will take him next Tuesday.)

5. Blog at least twice this week.

6. Finally, If I can swing it, I want to create and list one item for Etsy. (Didn’t happen. It is taking me a while to get my newest project done because it contains a lot of info. I’ll be so excited when it is done though, because I think it will help a lot of people!)

Here’s are my short goals for this week.

1. Pray the rosary each day.

2. Get up by 6:30 am each morning.

3. Keep up with the readings and assignments for my classes. (Still waiting on one of the books I need for a class, so I will have to do some major catch-up when it comes in!)

Sunday Snippets: A Catholic Carnival (September 1, 2013)

Sunday Snippets

I only have two posts to link up with Sunday Snippets this week:

Weekly Goals

Live Your Life Without Limits! (A must-see inspirational video.)

Question of the Week

This week’s question is “With which ministries/activities within your parish are you involved?”

I’ve done various activities and ministries at church over the years, but I have had to step away from that for a while. Between homeschooling Andrew, my own classes and a few other commitments I just don’t have the time. I miss it though. I have loved being involved with my church community and hope to get back to it sooner rather than later.

Weekly Goals

Set Goals

Not a bad week. I got a good amount of things done so I am happy. Here’s how it went:

1. Continue reading at least one chapter of the Gospel of John per day.

2. Pray the rosary each day.

3. Finish reading Pope Francis, The Pope from the End of the Earth and write review. (I actually read two books this week! Here is the review for Pope Francis and here is the review for A Hopeful Heart.)

4. Continue making and adding items to my Etsy shop.

5. Get up by 6:30 am each morning. (Counting this as a success even though it was closer to 7am most days.)

6. Go to Georgian Court University to get books for fall semester. (I got the books all right, lots of them. One of my classes requires SEVEN books. Crazy!)

7. Blog at least three times.

8. Write some rough drafts for posts to pre-schedule before classes begin. (Didn’t happen. I will just have to do the best I can in getting up some posts during the semester….wish me luck!

Now that I’m back to school my goals are going to be rather short, with the focus on keeping up with my classes:

(My babysitter for while I’m at school on Tuesdays had to back out last minute.)

5. Blog at least twice this week.

6. Finally, If I can swing it, I want to create and list one item for Etsy.
