Product Review: Super Saints Craft Kit and Giveaway

About the Super Saints Craft Kit

The Super Saints Craft kit is a set of 54 saint cards that gives families a fun way to learn about the lives of the saints. It also comes with rules for two games, Super Saints Stats and Super Saints Showdown.

My Comments

In the past, I have reviewed two products from Equipping Catholic families, Lingo Bingo and Journey with Jesus: Sacraments. Therefore, when I had the opportunity to review the Super Saints Craft kit, I was happy to do so. In addition, because I enjoyed Lingo Bingo and journey with Jesus, I had high standards for the kit. I am happy to report that the Super Saints Craft kit not only met my expectations, but exceeded them.

Now, I didn’t  have the time or have the chance to professionally print the cards at Staples or Office max, so I printed them out myself. I pretty much used up all my ink, but I wanted to try out the cards and get the review up in time for you to participate in the giveaway. It was worth it, and I’m glad I printed them out; however, I highly recommend you get them professionally printed and laminated so that they are sturdier and easier to play with.

And play we did! It was a lot of fun to play the games and I learned just as much as Andrew did about the saints. The craft gift is a game that we will play over and over again. The cards are adorable and contain simple and interesting facts that are easy to memorize.

Also, I can see the cards as being very versatile. For example, I am thinking that I may print out two copies of the cards and using them as Catholic version of “go fish.” They can also just be used as simple flash cards. I am pretty sure that those who are more creative than I will come up with better ideas of their own.

So, as you may have guessed, I definitely recommend the craft kit and give it four (4) stars.

Weely Goals

Set Goals

It was a weird week. I felt like I was spinning my heels and didn’t accomplish much. I didn’t get in hardly any prayer time. That was my fault, though. I was off schedule and overslept more than not which turned my schedule upside down.I did cross a few things off my list, at least:

1. Read at least one chapter of  the gospel of John per day.

2. Pray the rosary each day.

3. Read Letters to Katie and write review.

4. Continue making and adding items to my Etsy shop. (Well, I have several home-school printables created that I need to upload. I will be doing that today, hopefully.)

5. Spend five minutes per day on fiction writing.

6. Spend about half-hour of playtime with Andrew each day.

7. Revamp and prepare our homeschooling curriculum for the fall.

8. Start school with Andrew.

Here’s what’s going on this week. I hope I have a better week!

1. Read at least one chapter of  the gospel of John per day.

2. Pray the rosary each day.

3. Finish reading Letters to Katie and write review.

4. Continue making and adding items to my Etsy shop.

5. Get up by 6:30 am each morning.

6. Spend about half-hour of playtime with Andrew each day.

Bookmarks, Bookmarks Everywhere!

I’m excited to announce that I’ve re-activated my Etsy shop! I love putting together printables and paper crafts. It is a creative outlet for me and I find it relaxing.

My focus the last couple of days have been creating gift tags and printable bookmarks. If you have spent any time here at Simple Catholic Living, you know that I love to read and I love books. Well, I love bookmarks just as much. 🙂 I collect them actually. (Even the wedding favor for my husband and my wedding was a bookmark!)

Here’s a peek at the gift tags and bookmarks I made yesterday:

Aren’t they cute? I will be making more and adding them to my shop sometime today. My plan is to create/add more printables weekly to my shop, as time permits. They won’t just be bookmarks or gift tags, either. I plan to add other paper products such as origami, notebooks, stationary, and other printables as time goes on, so check out my shop regularly (or follow me on Pinterest, where I will be adding pictures of new paper goodies as I make them).

By the way, if you are an email subscriber to Simple Catholic Living, check your inbox later on today for a special discount code to get  20% off anything in the shop. If you aren’t an email subscriber yet, fill out the box on the side bar with your name and email address and the discount code will be waiting for you when you confirm your subscription. 🙂
