Weekly Goals

Set Goals

Here is how it went this week:

1. Pray at least one decade of the rosary each day.

2. Get up by 7:00 am each morning.

3. Keep up with the readings and assignments for my classes.

4. Finish presentation for Drama class. It is an oral presentation, so please pray it goes well! (I survived it, thank the Lord!)

5. Blog at least twice. (Not exactly twice, but I’m counting it. 🙂 )

6. Continue reading “Biff and Beckas Stupendous Vacation to Andrew and write review.

7. Take Andrew to CCD and play practice. Andrew is in the Christmas pageant for our church and very excited about it!

Here are my plans for this coming week:

3. Pray over devotional for bible study I am participating in.

4. Blog at least twice.

Set Goals

Here are my goals from last week and how I did:

Spiritual Goals

1. Daily mass and meditation, and rosary. (on-going)

2. Memorize Psalm 62:2-3 (“My soul rests in God alone, from whom comes my salvation. God alone is my rock and salvation, my secure height; I shall never fall.”)

Family/Mothering Goals

3. Write love note for Michael and hide it in his work bag.

4. Do last minute shopping and preparations for Andrew’s birthday party next Saturday. The party was a great success! Pictures and update to follow soon.

5. Read “Wake Me in Spring” and take Andrew to library to get more books.

Personal Development

7. Exercise on treadmill for 30 minutes.

8. Stay on top of my course work.

9. Re-knit Kindle Cover and start scarf I’m making for a friend. (I get bored knitting scarves, so it takes me a long time.)

Blogging goals

10. Plan posts and writing schedule for the month of April.

11. Write first draft for e-book. (I’ll get this done eventually!) I was going to take this off, but decided to keep it up one more week. If I have it in front of me, I may actually get it done!

Since we have just entered into Holy Week, I am paring down my goals for this week:

1. Besides my daily mass, rosary and bible time, spend some extra time in prayer and reflection on the mysteries being celebrated this week.

2. Help Andrew write out and mail his thank you notes.

3. Keep up with college course work.

4. Plan out blog posts for the month of April.

Menu Madness: June 13-19, 2010

Well, the menu never got done last week. I was in the process of putting it together when I found out about my cousin; so, although I wrote up an outline, I never got the menu posted.  (She’s doing okay, btw.)

We are going to be spending some time with family over the coming weekend, so I won’t be planning for those days.

Without further ado, here’s my weekly menu for next week:

Breakfasts:

Sunday: N/A
Monday: N/A
Tuesday: Cereal, with milk and banana
Wednesday: Waffles with strawberries
Thursday: Fruit and yogurt platter
Friday: oatmeal with raisins
Saturday: Blueberry pancakes

Lunch:

Sunday: N/A
Monday: N/A
Tuesday: Ham and cheese sandwiches, grapes
Wednesday: Peanut Putter play dough (for Andrew; PB&J sandwich for me), apples
Thursday: Leftovers
Friday: Tuna fish with carrot sticks
Saturday: Usually have late breakfast on Saturdays and forgo lunch

Suppers:

Sunday: N/A
Monday: Steak Fajitas (found skirt steak on sale!) with peppers and onions, rice
Tuesday: Chicken cutlets, mashed potatoes, asparagus
Wednesday: Tuna pie, salad
Thursday: Meat loaf, noodles and gravy, green beans
Friday: Pizza and popcorn (It’s family movie night!)
Saturday: Grilled hamburgers (with lettuce and tomato), homemade potato fries
