Offering to the Father

Offering to the Father

I found this beautiful prayer among some papers I was going through. The author is unknown but the prayer is being spread through the “Council of Marian Devotions and National Confraternity of the Lady of all Nations.” (Or so it says on paper I found the prayer on.)

Sincere Act of Offering to the Father

“Eternal Father, I unite all my sufferings and problems with the sufferings of Jesus, Your Son. I offer them to you for the conversion of sinners, especially the hardened and the lukewarm, and for the salvation of all souls so that not a single soul will go to hell. Amen.”

There are so many souls that have lost faith or live lives that are hardened and lukewarm (and I include myself as one of those) that may lose their eternal salvation as a result. Sadly, the “shiny objects” of this world seem so attractive when compared to an unseen God that they can be hard to resist. Couple that with a world that is so broken and where so many people are refused love from the very people who should give it to them. Therefore, please join me in prayer and offer everything we can to God for the conversion of sinners – including those of our own hearts!

Mary: Losing and Finding the child Jesus

“The Mother of God, who looked for her Son so anxiously when he was lost (through no fault of her own) and experienced such great joy in finding him, will help us retrace our steps and put right whatever may be necessary when, because of our carelessness or our sins, we have been unable to recognize Christ. With her help, we willl know the happiness of holding him in our arms once more and telling him we will never lose him again.” –St. Jose Maria Escriva

Offering: A thorough, sincere confession of our sins and faults in the Sacrament of Reconcilliation.
