I found the following prayer in the book, Handbook of Prayer, and I love it! If you are short on time, this would be a great prayer to substitute for your regular morning prayers (or a great addition to it):

“My Lord and my God: Into your hands abandon the past and the present and the future, what is small and what is great, what amounts to a little and what amounts to a lot, things temporal and things eternal. Amen.”
—St. Josemaria Escriva
It is certainly a short and powerful prayer. It is a little scary, too. I don’t know about you but I have a tendency to want to hold on to things and control things. This prayer is a prayer of letting go and that isn’t always easy! So, let’s pray that we have to courage to pray this prayer with conviction and truth. 🙂
