Goals for 2014

I have been thinking a lot about my goals for 2014. There are a lot of things that I want to accomplish this year but most of those are just things. This year I want to focus on being. Specifically, I want to live more intentionally and less reactionary. I do that way too much. So often I let life run me, instead of running life.

The thing is, life is busy. Homeschooling my son (which is totally worth it!) and my classes at GCU suck up so much of my time – along with making time for God (!) and home making and working on my blog and Etsy shop and other stuff. It is is (for me anyway) to become reactive instead of proactive. And for me, that often means forgetting what is really important to me. So this year, my goals are to:

1. Live more intentionally.

2. Be more proactive.

3. Be more loving and giving to others.

In order to make these goals into actionable steps I am going to:

1. Be more faithful to my allotted prayer times. (Prayer must comes first, even before course work!)

2. Exercising 3-5x week so I have more energy to do what I have to do.

3. Get up at 6:30. (I have fallen into the habit of not sticking to this and always regret it.)

4. Create a functional yet flexible schedule that allows me to run my schedule and not the other way around!

What are your goals for the new year? Let us know in the comments!
