Mary: Queen of Heaven

“She lives now and is protecting us. She is there in heaven, body and soul, with the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit…But we should never think that this sublime greatness of hers makes her inaccessible to us. She is the one who is full of grace and the sum of all perfections…and she is also our Mother.” –St. Jose Maria Escriva

Offering: Praying the Hail Holy Queen, devoutly and with attention, several times during the day.

Mary: Our Sorrowing Mother

“From Mary we learn to surrender to God’s Will in all things. From Mary we learn to trust even when all hope seems gone. From Mary we learn to love Christ her Son and the Son of God!” –Pope John Paul II

Offering: Mortification of the senses; for example, not complaining about an inconvenience or keeping quiet about a physical or mental pain and uniting the mortification, with Mary, to her son, Jesus.

Mary: The Hidden Life With Jesus

“Mary’s life too is “hid with Christ in God” (cf. Col 3:3) through faith. For faith is contact with the mystery of God. Every day Mary is in constant contact with the ineffable mystery of God made man, a mystery that surpasses everything revealed in the Old Covenant. From the moment of the Annunciation, the mind of the Virgin Mother has been initiated into the radical “newness” of God’s self-revelation and has been made aware of the mystery. She is the first of those “little ones” of whom Jesus will say one day: “Father, … you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to babes.” (Mt 11:25) For “no one knows the Son except the Father.” (Mt 11:27) [yet she does not know him as the Father does]” —Redemptoris Mater, article 17

Offering: Doing our ordinary duty on time, with competence and love.

Mary: Welcoming the Shepherds

“When the angels went away from them to heaven, the shepherds said to one another, ‘Let us go, then, to Bethlehem to see this thing that has taken place, which the Lord has made known to us.’ so they went in haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the infant lying in the manger. When they saw this, they made known the message that had been told them about this child.” Luke 2: 15-17

Offering: An encouraging word to someone in need.
