Advent Prayer Journal for Women

Make This Advent Season A True Spiritual Journey

From Book Description

The Advent season is a time of joyful anticipation and waiting; however, in the rush and stress of preparation, the real meaning of Advent can be lost.

The good news is that it doesn’t have to be that way! By spending some time each day in prayer, you can refocus and center your heart and mind on the one whom we await: Jesus Christ. And, this Advent Prayer Journal For Women can help.

My Comments

Let’s face it. By the time Christmas comes, we are so exhausted and can’t wait for it to be over. We spend the time of Advent shopping, running from one event to next, cooking/baking, wrapping, and taking care of all the details for Christmas. We get stressed and it is easy to forget the real purpose of Advent/Christmas. It is about the birth of Christ!

On top of the material preparations, we add-on spiritual practices that, in the end, just become one more thing on the to-do list. But it doesn’t have to be that way. It isn’t meant to be that way. But it is hard not to do it, isn’t it?

I’m not immune to that. Sure, I have systems in place and I am fortunate to be an organized person, in general. But, I still need reminders as to the “why” of Christmas. And that is why I created this Advent Journal. It is not meant to be one more “to-do.” It is meant to be an opportunity to pour out our hearts to God.

Believe it or not, I actually use the journal I created. Each page  has a short, Advent-themed scripture verse and a lot of lines for writing. There are also blank pages for drawing or pasting pictures. It is a simple, distraction-free journal that I pray will help you remember the true meaning of the Advent and Christmas season. So please, pick up a copy of the journal and use it. Take just a few minutes to pour out your heart to God. You will be glad you did!

>>>The 162 page journal includes: Scripture quotations from the Mass Readings, Lots of lined pages for writing and journaling, Blank pages for doodling, drawing, or pasting pictures, A section and explanation of the “O” Antiphons, and A section for prayer intentions
