Happy Memorial Day! (And Weekly Goals)

Memorial Day

Happy Memorial Day, everyone! I hope you are all enjoying the holiday weekend. In all your fun, please don’t forget to think about and pray for all those who lost their lives in service to our country…

Set Goals

Now for weekly goals. I wasn’t going to post them this week because of Memorial Day, but it really does help me to stay accountable, so I decided to go ahead and post them. Here’s how I did last week:

1. Continue reading  the gospel of Luke five minutes per day. (I’m slow when it comes to reading the Bible, so this averages out to about one chapter a day. At least I’m making progress!)

2. Pray the rosary each day with Andrew. (Well, not with Andrew. I’ve been praying the rosary while he is playing, but I do want to get him in the habit of praying the rosary, so I have to do a better job with this.)

3. Write for at least 5 minutes (of fiction) each day. (Didn’t do any fiction writing as I was working on the eBook.)

4. Continue editing and re-working e-book  on prayer. (It will be offered for free on my site.) (Almost done, just need to get the cover finished and writing the copy for the website.)

5. Continue participating in the Clutter Busting Challenge. (This has been awesome! It feels good to be getting rid of a lot of junk that has been laying around or taking up space!)

6. Begin website changes. (Will be changing the color scheme and look of the blog. I feel like it needs an update. ) (If you are not reading this in a blog reader you can see I’ve started this. The site is a bit of a mess, but I’m getting there. What do you think of the new color scheme?)

7. Start packing for our up-coming move. (Started! have a nice pile of about 12 boxes that I’ve packed so far.)

Here’s what’s up for this coming week:

1. Continue reading  the gospel of Luke five minutes per day.

2. Pray the rosary each day with Andrew.

3. Write for at least 5 minutes (of fiction) each day.

4. Finish cover for e-book  on prayer and get it published on website.

5. Continue participating in the Clutter Busting Challenge.

6. Continue website changes (Complete?? Maybe).

7. Continue packing for our up-coming move.

What are your plans for this week? Let us know in the comments or head over to Money Saving Mom and share them with us!

  1. I like that your blog is easily readable. Good luck with the tossing out and packing. May you have a good move.

Thanks, Barb. Moving is such a big job that doing a little at a time is helping to make it less daunting. 🙂

  2. Good luck with the packing! I think I’m going to try that Clutter Busting thing this month. We’re not moving, but could certainly use less clutter around the house!

Thank you! It was a very helpful challenge, for sure. Even with all I got rid of I still feel like I have too much to move!
