Queenship of Mary and Happy Anniversary!

Queenship of Mary

Today we celebrate the Queenship of Mary. It is a lovely feast day and you can find out more about it here, here and here. I’m not planning a big celebration for this feast; however, just the usual: mass, decade of the rosary, having Andrew coloring this page, and a nice dinner and dessert.

BUT, what makes today really special is that today is my husband and my wedding anniversary! It’s hard to believe that we have been married eight years already. Time has flown by and there have been many ups and downs; but, there is no doubt or question in my mind that Michael is the man God intended for me. 🙂

One of the big things that stands out for me about our wedding day is that during the wedding mass (when the couple traditionally go to say a prayer at the feet of Our Lady) we publicly made the total consecration to Jesus through Our Lady according to the St. Louis de Montfort devotion. We said the prayer out loud together and then Father came to us to sign it in front of everyone. It was a special moment for us.

  1. What a wonderful thing to do during your wedding! God bless!

  2. Congratulations on the anniversary. I think we just can’t beat having Jesus, Mary, and Joseph with us in our families.

Thank you. So true, that. Marriage (and life) is hard enough WITH Jesus, Mary and Joseph. I can’t imagine how hard it would be trying to live and be married without them!
