Hey there! Thank you for stopping by Simple Catholic Living! If you are new to my blog, here’s a little tour of what goes on here at Simple Catholic Living:

PURPOSE

As the tagline says, the purpose of Simple Catholic Living is to help and encourage busy Catholic women in their walk with the Lord.

TOPICS

One of the topics I write a lot about here at Simple Catholic Living is prayer. Prayer is the foundation of our lives as Catholic Christian Women and it is so important that we make time for prayer each day. In that vein, there is a whole page dedicated to prayer resources. And, because we are all so busy, I put together a cheat sheet that gives you Five Simple Strategies for Making time for Prayer every day that you can download when you sign up for blog updates.

Knowing our faith is important. The more we know God the more we can love Him and follow Him. Besides that, the more we understand what the Church teaches about various issues and why as Catholics we practice certain devotions, the better able we can “evangelize” or explain our faith to others. On top of all that, the more we understand our faith, the stronger our own faith will be, too.  Therefore, I periodically write about Church doctrine and explanations on why we, as Catholics, believe what we believe. I also have a page dedicated to Church Teaching.

Now, we Catholic women do more than pray and learn Church Doctrine. We are busy! :) We are taking care of our families, working (inside or outside the home) and have a host of responsibilities and things to do. After all, our faith can not be boxed into an hour once a week or during certain prayer times during the day. Our faith should encompass all our lives. Thus, to help you with those many tasks I have a page dedicated to home management resources and sometimes share recipes, how-tos, freebies, and other homemaking tips.

Finally, I share some ideas and blog posts related to homeschooling and raising a family, such as How to Have Happy Kids While Traveling. I also have a page dedicated to recommendations of products I love since recommendations can be helpful when buying decisions need to be made.

As you can see, there’s a lot of good stuff here at Simple Catholic Living. :) In case you are looking for something specific, there is a search box on the right side bar.
